I really love the structure of this class. I always know the expectations, when everything is due, and what I need to do for each everything. However, I feel like many of the assignments are very restrictive and must be done in specific ways. This makes sense as we are learning about technology, but some of the programs we use are a little outdated and hard to use. When I am a teacher, I will do my best to always use the most up-to-date programs so the students will be familiar with them. Additionally, I will do my best to make communication as clear and specific as possible.
Open Educational Resources are any materials that can be used by teachers in the public domain, or under copyright which allows them to be used for free. An OER I have found is called Mouse Party. I have had multiple teachers use this game before to teach about the brain activity involved in drug use. This OER has seven mice, all on different drugs. When you click on the mouse it shows what is happening in its brain. With each explanation is a drawing, a voice-over. This OER helped me to learn about drugs' impact on the brain as well as remember it. This is important knowledge to have as a psychology major, and the Mouse Party OER has helped me to remember this important information.

While working on Assignment 4, I learned much about using PowerPoint. I prefer using Canva for presentations so this pushed me outside of my comfort zone. I liked that we chose our topic for the lesson plan. This allowed me to use something I have always wanted to teach a lesson on and will use again in the future. I was also very happy with how my lesson plan looked aesthetically, I loved all the different graphics and visual elements I was able to incorporate. However, I really struggled to figure out how to record using PowerPoint. Once I was able to actually record I could not figure out how to save the file correctly with my recording. I will have to resubmit to gain full credit for this assignment. But I feel confident that I will figure out the correct way.
